PSEB Class 8th 12th Result 2024 Live Updates: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), Mohali released the class 8 and 12 results 2024 on April 30 at 4:20 pm. Students can check the results on the official website — pseb.ac.in.
PSEB activated the result link of Punjab Board Classes 8 and 12 on May 1.
PSEB candidates have to key in their registration number/ roll number and password to check the scorecard. After the announcement of the PSEB inter-class 12 results, students who fail to clear the exams will be able to appear for the Punjab Board compartment exams. Information about the compartmental exams will be released after the Punjab Board result declaration.

This year, Punjab Board Class 12 exams were held from February 13 till March 30 and PSEB Class 10 exams were held from February 13 till March 5 in pen-paper mode. Last year, the exam result was declared on May 24, for the exams which were conducted between February 20 and April 20, and before that, the result was declared on June 28, for the exams conducted between April 22 and May 23, 2022.

PSEB 12th Result 2024 Live Updates: Check passing marks
To pass the exams, students need to obtain 33 per cent marks. In subjects having both practical and theory, students will have to pass both separately. While the aggregate pass percentage of every subject should be 33 per cent, for practical section, those obtaining 20 per cent marks and 33 per cent for theory will also be deemed pass.

In other news - International students in Canada can only work 24 hours in a week, officials announce
International students in Canada will now be able to work only 24 hours in a week, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada, Marc Miller announced Tuesday.
“When we lifted the 20 hrs/week work rule for international students, we did so to support the post-pandemic recovery. Today, I announced that this measure will no longer be extended and, this fall, off-campus student work hours will be limited to 24 hrs/week,” he tweeted on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

PSEB 12th Result 2024 Live Updates: Dhol beats, pedas go around as students celebrate their success
After the result was announced at 4 pm in a press conference in Mohali, a wave of celebration went through the state as students, teachers and parents started celebrating the 93.04 per cent. As soon as the results and topper names were announced, students visited their schools where they celebrated their success with teachers and parents. The celebrations kicked off with boxes of sweets and beats of dhol.

PSEB 12th Result 2024 Live Updates: Ludhiana mechanic’s son Ekampreet tops state with 100% marks
At the top of the merit list is Ludhiana’s Ekampreet Singh, 17, with 100 per cent (500/500) marks. A commerce student from BCM Senior Secondary School, Focal Point, Ludhiana, Ekampreet is also a gold-medallist in gatka.
While some students leave playing sports to prepare for board exams, Ekampreet had gone to Chhattisgarh just few days before his final exams to participate in National School Games where he won a gold medal in gatka. “I had full support of my teachers and parents. Despite being a mechanic, my father never left any stone unturned to give me and my two elder sisters a good upbringing,” said Ekampreet, a resident of Ramandeep Colony on Mundian road.
